Flying Without Wingzzz....

I've picked up a new habit. I'm now into online shopping. *beams* Oh yeah! I know....I know....I'm lagging behind. But hey! It's so much fun and convenient to shop online. Save me the hassles from long queue, going from shops to shops, getting my arms full with shopping bags and most of all - preventing me from further causing unnecessarily damages.

But then again shopping online may not give me all the luxury of having to feel the quality of the merchandise, hardly any discounts, and what you see is what you get. You cant ask "errr....excuse me. do you have new stock? this one has got a bit of defects."

While the disadvantages of window shopping might just cause more damages to the pocket. Normally, I'd have a shopping list with me before I left home. Then when I reached home I went through the shopping list and among all the many, many shopping bags, only to discover I managed to get only ONE item among the whole shopping list. The rest either KIV, couldnt find or just simply nowhere in sight.

Hmmm.....The danger of shopping alone or with a shopping kahki. *giggles* And then came the headache .... "mana ako nak semunyik kan barang2 nie eh?"

This happened when you have a nosey or nagging spouse who simply dont understand the power of spending. The need to pamper. The need to get something you simply cant resist. The need to get or otherwise cannot sleep at night. The need.......just to spend the moos. *LOL!*

Back to track, I was hit with the shop-online-bug when lately I simply hadnt got the time to go out to shop. I've received invitations to birthday parties, one-month celebration, friends who just gave birth, house warming and the list goes on and on. It's been a hectic month for me both at work and at home. Thus, I've to reject some of the invitations and to make up for the guilt, I surf the net to look for gifts and had it delivered to their doorsteps. Voila!

Ohooohh!! It's so simple and easy. Browse, click, click, click and wait for confirmation email or phone call. Ahhhhh!! I'm lovin' it. Besides, I could avoid being questioned by the man-of-the-house why I had so many shopping bags and wrappers. All these simply can go unnoticed. Transaction wise - credit cards, fund transfer, cheque or cash-on-delivery.

However, when shopping online, I'm quite particular on the use of credit cards. Though there's a disclaimer but I still prefer other mode of payments when given a choice.

So what have I been doing when I got tired of staring at the figures on the screen? I went here - happy shopping!

In the wee hour of 28th February 2006, we were awakened by news on the arrival of baby N.

Full name I dunno. Forgot to ask. Anyway who cares? I just couldnt resist craddling and smelling the newborn...mmmmmm!! He was wide awake when I arrived. Eyes wide open and was looking very dazed. Perhaps he's trying to remember who is who. Proudly, I moved my face very near to his. Just in case he will forget me, I held him very close to my body.....kasi dia cium my bvulgari smell, which i sprayed before going into the ward.

I *think* he weighed about 3360gms. Length not sure - ard 30+ cm. I noticed he has long fingers and big feet. Very red. WOW! His mom gave birth to him thru normal delivery epidural-free.

The labor (which i heard from my mom) was very scary which left his mom traumatised that she wanted to stop at one. Eh iyer ker? Nanti tau2 boom!

According to my mom, Syafiqah (baby N mom), felt contractions right after watching DIA. (What?! I didnt know watching that indon cinetron can induce labour.) Anyway, she was admitted at ard 3am and gave birth at 9.45am. She said while her gynae was on the way, she'd already began to push as per the midwife instructions. She gave up halfway and was scolded by the midwife!?!? She requested for epidural but was not given any as the baby was already crowning.

Guess what the midwife did when my cousin say she has run out breath to push? The midwife cut her *toot* and that cause her to burst into tears. After that, then she was given the mask to inhale the laughing(?) gas and was forced to continue pushing. Such a very bad labor ordeal. Patut lah dia serik. Ako dengar pon ngilu sampai kat tulang. Brrrr!

Dun ask me where's the gynae, why the midwife did that and so on and so forth. It didnt cross my mind to ask those questions. I was all the while "busy" making horrible expressions (according to my dh) as if I was going thru that pain. Yikes! Why arent labor talks nice to hear? Not to mention, the hospital nurses were unfriendly and a lil insensitive. Haiz! Such a prestigious hospital with a sucking service.

Anyway....who's the happiest person when baby N was born? None other than this cheeky niece of mine, Tity.

She loves boy cousins than girl cousins. Tsk tsk tsk.....Confirmed she does not inherit that favortism from me, her beloved aunty. I LOVE my cousins *selectively*

OK! Last shot of baby N before I take my leave.....

Auwwwwww~!! He's so adorable. Cant wait for him to grow to "playing stage".
